Magewell Eco Capture AIO Overview

The Eco Capture AIO M.2 Single-Channel 2K Capture Card from Magewell enables you to connect an HDMI or SDI source to your computer and capture up to UHD 2K 2048 x 1080 resolution with embedded audio. Featuring an M.2 2280 Type M (PCIe Gen2 x2) computer interface, this compact card provides the flexibility to be used in small form factor PCs where PCIe slots may be at a minimum. It's compatible with Windows and Linux operating systems and can operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, while an LED indicator confirms the working status of the input the entire time.

Process and Capture Features

  • ~700 MB/s per channel DMA bandwidth in a PCIe 2.x system.
  • ~400 MB/s per channel DMA bandwidth in a PCIe 1.x system.
  • Video processing pipelines with ~180 Mpixels/s processing bandwidth.
  • Capture videos up to 2048 x 1080, frame rates up to 144 fps.
  • Note that actual capture frame rate can be limited by the PCIe bandwidth and internal working frequency.

HDMI and SDI Inputs

  • The HDMI and SDI inputs support up to UHD 2K60, 1080p75, and 720p120 video resolutions.
  • Supports video scaling, de-interlacing, color format conversion, and frame rate conversion.
  • Video is input with 8-bit 4:4:4 color.
  • A 100ns high-resolution clock is based on hardware implementation.
  • Hardware clock synchronization across cards is available via an SDK.

SDK and APIs

  • The MWCapture SDK provides functions including signal status extraction, capture configuration and real-time audio & video capture, and more.
  • Supports Windows DirectShow, DirectKS, Wave API, DirectSound, and WASAPI.
  • Supports Linux V4L2 and ALSA.

LED Status Indicator
